lot I wanted to see. Now I take my time to soak up places. The slower pace of South East Asia affords that.

In stark contrast to yesterday, we decided to see the seedy side of Bangkok, in the form of the go-go bars off Sukhumvit Road. As with Phuket, there was relative safety in a mixed pair, until Noesha charged into a bar, we ordered a drink, and I realised slower than I had wished that it was choc full of ladyboys! After the quickest beer I had ever drunk, we were out of there.

We went in a few others, but frankly I found them to be intensely sad places that did nothing for me. At the most I can say I've seen that side of Bangkok - and it's not a side I like.
