Caught the Dutch Embassy actually at work today, and picked up Noesha's fresh passport - all those lovely stamps gone! - which meant we could shift it from the now sadly tedious KL, swapping it for a touch of island paradise, in the form of the Perhentian Islands off the North East coast of Malaysia.

Indian is probably not the wisest choice of food when you have a long bus journey ahead of you, but we couldn't resist a veggie Indian restaurant we stumbled upon not far from the Little India market. It had the largest menu of unknown delights I'd ever seen, and with the help of the waiter we conjured up a feast of dosas, biryanis and bhajis which was absolutely sublime. There was no beer to wash it down though; being a Muslim state, alcohol is frowned upon and will no doubt send you to hell. It is, however, available at 7 Elevens and thankfully in plentiful supply at Chinese restaurants, but it's pricey as you like, since the Government slaps a whopping tax on it.
